Ryanair
How do I find my Ryanair flight reference number?
Your flight reference number will be a code made of up six numbers and letters – your Holidays for Heroes booking reference is only numbers, so it’s easy to remember which is which. You’ll find both on your booking confirmation or e-ticket.
How do I add my Holidays for Heroes Booking to my MyRyanair account?
To add a booking to your MyRyanair account, log in as normal and go to ‘find your booking’. Enter your Ryanair flight reference number and the email address you used to book your holiday. Once your booking has been linked, you can login to manage your flights with Ryanair.
What should I do if I need help with MyRyanair account?
If you have trouble logging in or using your MyRyanair account, you can contact Ryanair customer support directly or follow the account setup instructions on the Ryanair website or app.
Why does it say my Ryanair flight is operated by another airline?
Ryanair Group uses five airlines – Malta Air, Buzz, Ryanair UK and Lauda Europe, so your Ryanair flight may be operated by one of these airlines. If this is the case, you’ll see this when booking. If your Ryanair flight is operated by one of these airlines, you can still add extras and check in like you normally would through the Ryanair website.
How much luggage allowance do I get for my Ryanair flight?
If you’ve added hold luggage to your booking, each passenger can check in one bag weighing up to 20kg. Maximum dimensions of a 20kg Check-in Bag are 80 x120cm x120cms. You can share bags between passengers on the same booking. This means if there are two of you travelling and you both have a luggage allowance of 20kg, one bag could weigh 10kg and the other 30kg. Please be aware that no single bag can weigh more than 32kg.
Plus, you’ll be allowed to take one small piece of hand luggage on board. This could be a handbag, rucksack or backpack that can fit under the seat in front of you. Maximum dimensions for hand luggage are 40x20x25cms.
If you’re travelling with an infant (8 days to 23 months), you can bring an extra baby bag of up to 5kg (dimensions: 45x35x20cms) for babies travelling on an adult’s lap. You can bring two items of carry-on baby equipment for free. This includes things like a pushchair/buggy, car seat, booster seat or travel cot.
Additional luggage, excess luggage or special luggage can be added directly through your MyRyanair account. If you choose to add special baggage to your booking, please let us know so we can make sure your transfer is suitable. There’s an additional fee for sports equipment and other large items – for more information, head to www.ryanair.com.
How do I select seats for my Ryanair flight?

How do I add a passenger to my Ryanair booking?
If your package includes flights with Ryanair, your flights are confirmed directly with the airline when you book, so we can’t add passengers for you. If you want to add a passenger, here are your options:
- Cancel the original holiday and make a new booking that includes all passengers. We’ll refund you for your package holiday, including the cost of your flights, and you’ll just need to pay the cancellation fee (the amount you’ll be charged depends on long before your holiday you tell us you want to cancel). Just so you know, refunds can take up to 14 days for the money to reach your account.
- Create a separate booking for the additional passenger.
Just so you’re aware, they’ll need to make this booking themselves, as you can’t be the lead passenger if you’re not on the booking.
Otherwise, we can help you find flights with a different airline, which we can book and manage for you.
Please be aware, if you book flights for the additional passenger directly with Ryanair, we cannot guarantee availability with the accommodation or provide that passenger with the package protection that the rest of the party will have.
